Amer has deep expertise in leading digital transformations across industries, with a proven track record in driving smart city transformation and smart service adoption across the GCC, and a strong working across MENA, and Indian subcontinent markets with global exposure. With over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry covering technology consulting, sales, business development, and architecture, he combines multinational and regional first-hand experience of large ICT projects covering the telecom, public sector and real estate verticals, developing practical services and go-to-market and transformation strategies. Amer studied Telecommunications / Electronic Engineering at the Queen Mary – University of London, and obtained a post graduate diploma in Smart Cities from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

Amer’s previous experience includes developing and executing an emerging theatre cloud GTM strategy and engagement model for a leading multinational vendor. He has led direct sales engagements on behalf of clients for tier-1 opportunities for telecom, cloud, and managed services projects including MSSP operations, with full business, services, and technology strategy development ownership. He developed & setup sales and operating models for next generation services delivery. Amer has co-founded and co-managed a regional ICT consulting start-up firm, developing consulting practices and methodologies and leading the delivery of high-profile engagements. His clients have included du, Etisalat, Ministry of foreign affairs Kuwait, Mobily, Barwa Technologies, STC, Ooredoo, PTCL, Zain, amongst others. In the technology space, He has consulted on multiple areas including routing & switching, data centres, wireless & mobile networking, MPLS, ISP architectures, broadband access, corporate networks, content delivery networks, and smart-city architectures. At NXN, Amer has delivered public and private smart real-estate strategies for mega projects, working with leading private sector developers as well as city operators.
