Dubai’s unique and ambitious mandate requires a collaborative approach to smart city transformation. This involves turning the traditional customer-vendor model on its head and collaborating with strategic partners across the public and private sectors to create a tailored solution. In this model vendor lock-in has been eliminated or severely curtailed and this provides plenty of opportunity for technology refreshes which are critical to the success of a smart city as new solutions evolve.
